Making Conference calls with Lync phones[edit]

When you are on a call:

  • Press the Center button on the phone. The lcd display icon is a yellow triangle with an escalation sign.
  • A window list pops up where you can either use the arrow buttons to scroll through the contacts or use the number pad to enter a new number.

Making conference calls from desktop Lync client[edit]

  • Click "Meet Now" from the dropdown button by the gear icon
  • To add someone, click the "Invite More People" button on the bottom left
  • Here you can choose the person or begin typing the name of the Lync user. If the participant isn't a Lync user, you can enter their contact number.

Schedule a Conference Call[edit]

  • Use the Lync Web Scheduler to schedule a conference call

  • MUST DO THIS AT START OF MEETING
    • To start the meeting, at the scheduled time you will need to call the conference phone number.

    • Enter the conference ID number followed by the #
    • Select * when it asks if you are the leader
    • Enter your Lync pin number to start the meeting. If you do not remember your Lync pin, you can reset it at http://www.cites.illinois.edu/mshelp/setpin.html
  • YOU MUST STAY CONNECTED THROUGHOUT THE MEETING OR PEOPLE CAN'T JOIN IN
